Honoring the Lives of those Who have Protected Ours

I wanted to thank Sergeant First Class Jones for taking the time to personally honor me with a tactical backpack from Honoring the Heroes. When I arrived in the early morning to give my read off I was slightly (sarcasm) caught off guard as to why there was a Calvary NCO in dress blues in the room. Ryan explained how he wanted to give to his community and looked at several ways to accomplish his goal and the end result was Honoring the Heroes. I don’t know why I was chosen over others but it was absolutely a privilege to meet Ryan and receive the backpack. I apologize for how long it took to write this to say thank you and also that the books within helped more than you know.

First off, I just want to say thank you for doing this program. It really does mean a lot. A little about myself, I am an Air Force security forces veteran. I served for eight years from the frozen tundra of Wyoming to the rivers of Germany. Since I got out, I joined my hometown sheriff's department and has been loving it ever since.
Once I got this bag, I was blown away with what resources was inside of it. There is a book called 'Devotions for Cops' and I have been reading it and I believe I could use what it says not only on duty but off duty as well. I have not got the opportunity to read the others which were included (as there is a lot!) But no doubt in my mind ill use them in my everyday life. All of these resources packed inside will definitely help someone as well as it has helped me.
I would like to thank Ryan Jones for providing me this amazing opportunity. He is the real hero behind honoring the heroes.
